Sean Frayne, Youth Activities Coordinator
What is your role at BeLonG To?
I deliver training to our Peer Educators and am coordinator for In The Know, the personal development and sexual health course.
As someone who was a former young person in the service, BeLonG To is a home away from home.
Every time I step through that front door I never feel like I’m going to work. We are all about acceptance and equality and you can really feel that throughout the organisation.
What is your life motto?
My life motto is “Everything happens for a reason”
Who inspires you?
I’m inspired by the people I work with and being able to see the confidence and personal growth of the young people. Empowerment at it’s finest.
What is your guilty pleasure?
I’m a huge nerd. You’ll always see me carrying some form of Doctor Who merchandise or superhero tshirt. I also love binge watching my favourite shows and having duvet days.
If you were stuck on an island and you could bring 2 things with you, what would they be?
If I was stuck on an island and could only bring 2 things with me, I would bring a white football and a Fedex package. I’d be stranded on the island for years and build a friendship with the football before finally being rescued and having my story turned into a movie staring Tom Hanks which will be called “Cast Away”
What is the most unusual thing you’ve eaten?
I remember when I was 4 years old eating snails at a restaurant in Spain. No amount of garlic dip made me like them.
