Belong To LGBTQ+ Summer Project 2026

Join other LGBTQ+ young people from 14 to 17 and 18 to 23 years old this summer for a series of free events and activities throughout July and August.

Join Belong To for fun trips, workshops and celebrations in Dublin City Centre. You can attend some events and not others, drop in for one week only. It’s up to you.

We recommend (but it’s not essential) coming to our kick off week so you can get to know us, other LGBTQ+ young people and get information on the whole summer of fun!

All activities are planned with over-18s and under-18s groups separately and tailored for different age groups.

The theme of each week is below – and for more information or to find out details of timings and locations, get in touch with us here.

Week 1 – Summer Project Kick-Off Week: 29 June – 3 July 2026

Get started at our information and ‘get to know each other’ sessions – open to all.

We’ll plan the summer activities with your input, while you can meet other LGBTQ+ young people and play video games, get something to eat and get to know us.

Reel Youth – Mid July

Reel Youth is an exciting city-wide collective made up of different youth services which work hand in hand with young people to explore the art of filmmaking. We provide a fun and supportive space where young people can come together and write, direct and produce a short film. This year the theme will be ‘Social Media’.

This year, we’re extending the Theatre Week to take place across a fortnight! Double the theatre skills and double the fun.

Join us at the Abbey Theatre for two weeks of workshops, improvisation, drama skills and scene development. Throughout the week, you will work together with other LGBTQ+ young people to write and perform your own original piece for an audience of friends and family – on the stage of Ireland’s national theatre!

We’re handing over to you to decide – Picnic? Beach Day? Sustainability workshops? We’ll hold an ideas space and vote at our Summer Project Kick-Off Week and make a plan together.
