Have you ever thought about getting involved with Live Action Role Play? Do you love Dungeons and Dragons but would like to take your imagination to the next level?
Live Action Role Play or LARP is an immersive, interactive experience where participants act out characters in a physical, real-world setting – kind of like an improvised film!
What does LARP involve?
- Immersive Storytelling: Players fully inhabit their characters, interacting with others in a created world to drive the narrative.
- Physicality & Action: LARP often involves safe, foam-weapon combat, puzzles, and quests in diverse settings ranging from fantasy castles to post-apocalyptic sites.
- Community & Creativity: It offers a social, creative outlet for costume design, character development, and personal growth in a safe, inclusive environment.
- Game Mechanics: Events are overseen by organizers (game masters) who use rules to manage character skills and combat outcomes
When is it happening?
From 30 March to 10 April we’ll be running 4 LARP sessions in Dublin City Centre facilitated by our youth workers and supported by two volunteers from the Irish Games Association. You don’t need any experience at all to take part, and the sessions are open to all LGBTQ+ young people aged 14-17.
How do I get involved?
Fill out the form below and a member of our Youth Work Team will be in contact with all of the details!
