Senior Drug and Alcohol Youth Worker

The Senior Youth worker with specific responsibility for Drugs and Alcohol will work as part of a small team supporting LGBTQ+ young people based on a harm reduction model. This role spans outreach, one-to-one support, provision of training to key stakeholders and the development of policy and advocating for the needs of LGBTQ+ young people with respect to drugs and alcohol. It also involves managing 2 youth workers and a youth work student on placement twice a year.
Salary: €40,383 to €44,853
Hours: Full-time, 35 hrs per week
Reporting To: Youth Services Manager
Term: Fixed term contract of 1-year, (inclusive of a 6month probationary period) extension subject to funding confirmation.

The key purposes of the Youth Services Manager role are:
- To be the strategic lead in Belong To for supporting, planning, delivering,
monitoring and evaluation of LGBTQ+ Youth Work and Dublin-based
services. - To support the delivery of best practice approach in providing LGBTQ+
youth work for young people across Ireland. - To have responsibility for the achievement of Belong To’s youth work
related strategic goals as set out in our Strategic Plan.
Salary: €55,669.50 to €66,803.40
Hours: Full-time, 35 hrs per week
