Throughout July and August, Belong To will host workshops, events and activities in Dublin City Centre, including:
Trans Joy Week – Transboree & Trans Pride (7 – 12 July)

A week dedicated to celebrating and uplifting our trans and non-binary young people!
We will be hosting our annual Transboree event, an opportunity for trans and non-binary young people to join us for fun and engaging workshops centred around self-care, creativity, and celebrating trans joy. We will then be preparing to participate in Trans and Intersex Pride on Saturday, 12 July.
Let’s stand up for equal rights for trans people while celebrating the trans community.

Casting All – The Abbey Theatre x Belong To Theatre Week (14 – 19 July)

Time to break a leg!
We’re so excited to once again partner with the Abbey Theatre, Ireland’s National Theatre, for our LGBTQ+ Youth Drama Programme. Join us for a week of workshops, improvisation, drama skills and scene development. Throughout the week, you will work together with other LGBTQ+ young people to write and perform your own original piece – on the stage of Ireland’s national theatre!

Reel Youth – Movie Making Week (21 – 26 July)

Ready for your close up?
Reel Youth is an exciting city-wide collective made up of different youth services which work hand in hand with young people to explore the art of filmmaking. We provide a fun and supportive space where young people can come together and write, direct and produce a short film. This year the theme will be ‘Comedy & Festival’.

Self-Care Summer – Wellbeing & Sustainability Week (28 July – 1 August)

Get engaged!
This week we will host some engaging workshops focused on boosting your wellbeing and discovering how to take care of yourself
We’ll also cover a range of topics to learn together about climate justice and sustainability and how we can make a difference together!

Belong on the Pitch – Sports Week (4 – 8 August)

Getcha head in the game!
We’re excited to offer a variety of fun sports activities and workshops for everyone, no matter your skill level! Join us for an active time as we explore and try out activities like football, rock climbing and hiking together.

Out in the Arts – Culture Week (11 – 16 August)

Lets get cultured!
This week, let’s dive into our amazing culture and discover the exciting museums and galleries that Dublin has to offer such as Little Museum of Dublin, IMMA, The Leprechaun Museum, and some LGBTQ+ specific exhibits and tours!

Closing the Season – End of Summer Parties (18 – 23 August)

Party 4 u, we only threw this party for you for you for you.
After a busy few weeks, we will get together to celebrate the end of summer and reflect on what we learned and the fun we had during the summer project.
For LGBTQ+ youth from 14-23 years
There will also be several drops in and social spaces throughout the project for Under 18’s and Over 18’s!
